Role Overview
The Delivery Planner plays a pivotal role in managing and scheduling deliveries to ensure that orders are executed with precision, timeliness, and efficiency in a fully remote capacity. Responsibilities include assessing customer orders, planning optimal delivery routes, coordinating shipment timelines with warehouse, logistics, and sales divisions, and tracking delivery progress. The role requires resolving any delivery delays or problems and updating systems and stakeholders with accurate status information.
Additional responsibilities involve evaluating capacity usage, enhancing transportation efficiency, maintaining accurate shipment and compliance documentation, supporting ongoing improvements in delivery methods, addressing customer delivery inquiries, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve service quality and cost effectiveness goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in delivery planning, scheduling, and coordination managing multiple orders.
- Competence in logistics management, route optimization, and warehouse or inventory coordination to enable seamless delivery processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities including data interpretation and proposing process enhancements.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills suitable for remote collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Proficiency with planning and productivity software such as spreadsheets, ERP systems, or other logistics platforms, coupled with meticulous attention to detail for documentation and reporting tasks.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution planning, preferably within industrial or construction sectors.
- Educational background in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines is preferred; however, equivalent experience is equally considered.
- Capability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively in a dynamic setting, and uphold standards of safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
