About the role
Domino's is looking for delivery drivers who can offer dependable service and flexible availability. This position can suit someone seeking full-time work, part-time hours, or an additional job for extra income.
What you'll do
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone, then process them accurately.
- Help prepare menu items and keep ingredients stocked in storage, production, and cooler areas.
- Keep equipment and the workplace clean on a daily basis.
- Hand out marketing materials as needed.
- Communicate clearly and politely with customers and coworkers.
- Handle other duties assigned by the management team.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards are required.
- You need access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
- You should be able to read maps and find addresses within the delivery zone.
- Comfort handling difficult terrain, including multi-level buildings, is necessary.
- You must be able to drive in challenging weather such as rain, sleet, snow, strong winds, and hail.
- A positive, service-oriented attitude is expected.
- You must follow the company's appearance and uniform standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
- You should be committed to maintaining high quality standards, even in busy situations.
Essential skills and physical demands
The role calls for quick and accurate arithmetic, proper cash handling, order entry through keyboard or touch screen, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within set timeframes.
Most work is done while standing for long periods. Delivery staff may need to move quickly between the store, vehicle, and customer location when safe. Lifting requirements include up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds rarely. The job may also involve carrying varying package sizes, climbing ladders occasionally for cleaning or maintenance, and moving up and down five or more flights of stairs during deliveries. Frequent crouching, bending, and reaching are also part of the work.
