Data & Insights Intern - President's Office (Summer 2026)

Position Overview

Join Shopee's R&D team as a Data & Insights Intern, contributing to data management, reporting, and AI-powered initiatives that aid leadership in informed decision-making and operational improvements.

Key Duties

• Assist in migrating management reports onto a unified enterprise platform to enhance data utilization across departments.
• Validate data metrics ensuring quality and identify discrepancies proactively.
• Help compile monthly performance reports and convert data findings into practical insights for senior management.
• Work collaboratively with various teams to streamline reporting methods and automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Develop prototype tools leveraging large language models (LLMs) to improve workflow efficiency including auto-generating reports and automating processes.
• Test and refine prompt creation, tool integrations, and basic agent workflows aimed at boosting productivity.
• Participate in AI and data-centric projects to improve analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as designated by the reporting manager.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or an equivalent discipline.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python programming.
• Strong analytical aptitude to extract meaningful insights that influence business strategies.
• Curiosity about applied AI, large language models, or workflow automation; experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI task flows is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently.
• Preference for candidates available full-time for a period of 3 to 6 months.
