About the Role

This opportunity is offered by a partner company seeking a skilled Data Governance and Quality Analyst based in the United States. The role aims to enhance enterprise data capabilities by assuring data quality, integrity, and usability across various business systems. Working closely across business, IT, and data teams, the analyst will support governance initiatives that enable more informed decision-making, operational efficiencies, and preparation for AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing data quality frameworks encompassing standard rules, monitoring mechanisms, and corrective measures.
  • Work collaboratively with business, IT, and data stakeholders to detect, analyze, and resolve data quality challenges.
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports to track data quality trends and communicate areas for enhancement.
  • Examine datasets for discrepancies and opportunities to improve data completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the identification and documentation of critical master data domains and their usage within systems.
  • Help define and enforce data ownership, stewardship roles, and governance processes.
  • Improve master data management processes including data creation, updates, and managing change workflows.
  • Align data definitions, structures, and values consistently across enterprise platforms.
  • Contribute to planning and executing data governance projects and initiatives for continuous data quality enhancement.
  • Identify methods to streamline and automate data management and governance processes.
  • Promote adherence to effective data management practices throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data governance, data quality assurance, master data management, or related roles.
  • Proven expertise implementing and monitoring data quality standards and resolving data issues.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts including domains, hierarchies, and reference data.
  • Competency in analyzing data sets using querying tools and analytical methods to identify errors and inconsistencies.
  • Experience developing or maintaining dashboards and reporting tools for delivering data insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and IT functions to address data-related challenges.
  • Knowledge of data models, data marts, and data warehousing principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical data topics to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience with data governance or management software such as Informatica, Collibra, or Alation.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA, or others related to data governance and quality.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable managing shifting priorities and dynamic business environments.
  • Skilled in influencing stakeholders and driving initiatives without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

The position offers a competitive salary range from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. The role allows for full remote work from a U.S.-based home office.
