Job description
Role Overview
This position involves crafting and executing comprehensive cybersecurity education initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational security awareness. The specialist will be responsible for developing tailored learning programs, assessing employee training needs, and updating educational content to align with evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cybersecurity training programs customized for various roles and departments.
- Create and regularly revise cybersecurity awareness and instructional materials.
- Evaluate organizational security awareness levels and identify training requirements.
- Develop realistic simulation scenarios and practical exercises to reinforce learning.
- Conduct ongoing research into emerging cyber threats and relevant technologies.
- Monitor and report on training outcomes and development metrics to assess program effectiveness.
- Iteratively enhance training content based on feedback and current threat landscapes.
Contract Details
This is a 12-month contract position with potential for extension depending on departmental needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
- Advanced certifications in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are preferred. Other recognized certifications acceptable include CCNA, CySA+, CHFI, PenTest+, CEH, CPENT, GCIH, GPEN, OSCP, CISA, and CISM.
- Between 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic languages is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities for diverse audiences.
- Ability to translate complex technical cybersecurity concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical staff.
- Strong analytical thinking with effective problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in the latest cybersecurity threat landscape and defensive measures.
