Job Overview
This position is based in one of Amazon's designated corporate offices located in Santa Monica, CA, Austin, TX, or New York, NY. As a Customer Success Manager focusing on consumables and beauty products, you will play a vital role in advancing retail e-commerce by driving annual revenue growth and turning vendor relationships into strategic advantages for Amazon. Your work will directly influence key retail brands, enhance experiences for millions of customers, and support scaling on the leading global e-commerce platform.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors to formulate and implement strategic business plans covering marketing, merchandising, and supply chain operations.
- Analyze business performance data to deliver actionable insights that promote growth and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Establish and sustain productive partnerships by being the primary liaison addressing vendor requirements.
- Educate and guide vendors on Amazon’s resources, policies, and opportunities for expansion while ensuring smooth operations.
- Support organizational development through innovations and process improvement initiatives.
Typical Day Activities
- Engage cross-functional teams to resolve vendor concerns and apply effective remedies.
- Evaluate performance metrics to identify new business prospects.
- Prepare and communicate strategic guidance to vendor partners.
- Attend team discussions and knowledge exchanges.
- Handle various projects whilst upholding high standards of service quality.
Team Environment
You will join a collaborative group of 6 to 10 Customer Success Managers focused on mutual growth, innovation, continuous learning, and maintaining a productive work-life balance. The team regularly holds events and supports clear pathways for career progress.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- At least three years of vendor-facing or client management experience in account or vendor management, or related roles such as buying, planning, or merchandising.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with data analysis and presentation tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in operational excellence and continuous or process improvement.
- Experience within retail, e-commerce, or technology sectors.
- Competence in project management and handling multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
