Job Overview
This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the assigned areas while following site procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out janitorial and cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Complete all items listed on the daily work schedule.
- Use motorized cleaning equipment when required.
- Keep the assigned space clean and well maintained throughout the shift.
- Escalate accidents, unsafe conditions, and other incidents to the supervisor.
- Follow safety guidelines, workplace policies, and operational procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to finish assigned duties.
- Handle repetitive tasks as part of the daily routine.
- Ensure the work area remains orderly and clean.
- Adhere to company rules, protocols, and standard operating practices.
- Accept supervision and respond appropriately to direction from leads and managers.
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
- Step in to help when staffing is short.
- Assist the shift lead with completing punch-list items.
- Wear and use the correct personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Understand the importance of customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Be familiar with reporting systems and environmental requirements.
Qualification Requirements
No specific formal education is required. However, 3 to 6 months of related training or experience is preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
- A valid driver’s license may be necessary.
- Completion of all safety and job-specific training certifications is required.
- Forklift certification may be required.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to understand written instructions, procedures, manuals, and similar documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Understanding of how to maintain and care for cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and compounds, including safe and efficient use.
- Bilingual ability is considered an advantage.
Work Conditions
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities. While performing the role, the employee is regularly expected to sit and to speak or listen. The job also requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals with disabilities.
Schedule and Compensation
The shift runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Pay ranges from $21.95 to $23.95.
