Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our retail team in Cobh. The primary focus of this position is to deliver exceptional customer service by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful assistance. You will support the Shop Manager and team to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards, and handle betting transactions accurately. Occasionally, you may also manage shop operations including opening and closing procedures.

Key Duties

  • Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily shop operations.
  • Take charge of shop activities including opening, closing, and team supervision during absence of management.
  • Manage cash handling procedures following company policies.
  • Engage in on-the-job training to enhance skills and progress within the company.
  • Provide excellent customer experiences through friendly and informed interactions.
  • Accurately accept and process bets via multiple channels, including betting terminals and EPOS systems.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to the company's digital and multi-channel offerings.
  • Maintain composure under pressure while seeking continuous improvement.
  • Ensure shop presentation and compliance with safety, operational, and social responsibility standards.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to work across all 7 days of business operations.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic retail setting with strong attention to detail and numeracy.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Preferred Experience

Retail or industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided to build sports and betting knowledge.
