Role Overview
The Customer Service Assistant position at Boyle Sports involves delivering exceptional service by adopting a courteous, approachable, and well-informed manner. The role focuses on supporting the Shop Manager and team to maintain store excellence, including handling bets, cash procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Key duties include opening and closing the shop, occasionally managing shop operations, and maintaining high customer experience standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in daily shop management activities.
- Take charge of shop operations in the absence of management, including opening, closing, and supervising staff.
- Oversee cash management procedures responsibly.
- Engage in shop management opportunities to facilitate career growth.
- Work effectively in a dynamic retail setting while undergoing on-the-job training to enhance skills.
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly, knowledgeable approach.
- Process bets accurately through various channels including betting terminals and EPOS systems promptly.
- Promote the brand by introducing customers to digital and multi-channel betting options.
- Maintain composure under pressure while striving for continual improvement personally and for the shop.
- Ensure that shop presentation standards remain high throughout working hours.
- Adhere rigorously to safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics and uphold social responsibility commitments.
