Job description
Role overview
This position sits at the center of the customer journey at Tesla. The Customer Experience Specialist welcomes visitors, creates memorable showroom interactions, and helps make the vehicle handover experience informative, smooth, and exciting. Acting as both a first contact in the showroom and a final touchpoint at delivery, the role represents the brand and supports Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
You will support customers from their first visit through to vehicle delivery, making sure the purchase and ownership experience feels innovative, clear, and high quality.
Key duties
- Greet walk-in guests quickly and in a personal, welcoming way so the conversation starts naturally.
- Speak with guests to learn who they are, what interests them about Tesla, and their buying timeline and intent, then build a detailed customer profile.
- Educate visitors through tailored product conversations, including demo drives and Full Self-Driving demonstrations based on their interests.
- Lead delivery walkthroughs and explain important vehicle features and benefits so new owners leave informed and enthusiastic.
- Help maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting guest details, arranging test drives, and spotting customers with strong purchase intent.
- Deliver an excellent service experience to both current and prospective owners.
- Take on other duties as needed to support business requirements.
Candidate profile
- You should have at least 1 year of experience in customer service and/or sales, with evidence of meeting and surpassing targets.
- A genuine interest in Tesla’s mission and its work in personal transportation is important, along with awareness of EV industry developments and local incentives.
- You need the ability to understand both business issues and technical ideas and explain them clearly.
- A collaborative mindset and dependability are essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication, close attention to detail, solid organization, and comfort using Microsoft Office and CRM systems are required.
- You must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail setting.
- A valid Canadian Class 5, G, or G2 driver’s license is required.
- For positions in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia, you must hold and maintain the motor vehicle salesperson license/certificate required by the provincial regulator. This license is a condition of both hiring and continued employment, and you should verify your eligibility with the regulator before applying.
