Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you represent our brand on the road by delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. Your job involves more than just driving; it’s about providing exceptional service and assistance with a friendly attitude. The position is active and varied, with mostly independent work complemented by the support of a team based at the store.

Work Schedule

• Sunday: 08:00 - 18:00
• Monday: 19:00 - 23:00
• Tuesday: 18:00 - 22:00
• Friday: 15:30 - 23:00

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and working environment to ensure customers receive their groceries in prime condition.
• Safely load the van and perform all necessary safety checks to guarantee vehicle reliability and readiness.
• Communicate with customers regarding any changes in their orders, substitutions, or approaching expiry dates, providing refunds when appropriate to ensure seamless customer experiences.
• Handle products carefully, treating each order with the utmost respect to preserve quality and trust.
• Complete deliveries within the customer’s allocated time, offering warm and genuine service at their doorstep to make them feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Establish strong relationships with colleagues to foster excellent teamwork and customer service.
• Demonstrate a welcoming and friendly attitude towards both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and embrace changes encountered during deliveries and in-store operations.
• Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for a minimum of 12 months with fewer than 4 penalty points.
