Customer Delivery Driver - Inverness Extra

About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco in Inverness, you'll represent the company directly while delivering groceries to customers at their homes. This job goes beyond just driving – it's about providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Your daily routine will involve hands-on physical tasks and varied activities with each shift differing from the last. Most of your workday will be spent independently on the road, supported remotely by your team at the store when needed.

Your working hours will vary by day as follows:

• Sunday: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Monday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive undamaged goods.
• Safely load your van and conduct all necessary checks to confirm it is roadworthy and prepared for service.
• Communicate warmly with customers about any order adjustments, substitutions, or short-dated products, offering refunds when appropriate to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle all items with care, treating each order as you would your own to maintain quality and trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within scheduled customer time slots, providing friendly and attentive doorstep service that leaves customers feeling appreciated.

Candidate Requirements

• Develop positive relationships with your colleagues to foster teamwork and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Be approachable and friendly to both customers and teammates.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace flexibility on the road and in-store.
• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
