Job description
Overview
This role supports the upkeep of a temple facility so it can remain a dignified, reverent, and welcoming place for worship, teaching, prayer, and sacred ordinances. The work is hands-on custodial maintenance at a journey level, helping ensure the building is clean, orderly, and fit for Church members and visitors.

Core Duties
- Keep assigned spaces clean and maintained to the required standard.
- Set up meeting rooms as needed and handle items such as draperies, chandeliers, lighting fixtures, and similar equipment when required.
- Use custodial tools and equipment, including vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Operate hand tools or powered tools when the task calls for them.
- Work with cleaning products and chemicals safely, using protective gear such as gloves, masks, or other equipment as required.
- Maintain positive public relations and escalate issues to a supervisor when necessary.
Job Requirements
Candidates should understand custodial methods, supplies, and equipment. The job involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing loaded carts, bending, crawling, and reaching.
Basic English comprehension is needed for everyday communication, video-based training, building security, and safety procedures. Applicants must be able to follow verbal and written directions, listen carefully, and ask clarifying questions when needed. Completion of safety and equipment-use training is required.
