Crime and Fraud Manager

Overview

DPD UK is seeking a dedicated Crime and Fraud Manager to join the National Security Team, operating in the South East region within the M25 corridor. This full-time permanent role offers a competitive salary around £56,500, along with a company car and bonus, working Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:30. The base location is flexible anywhere within the M25 area.

About the Role

This vital position involves leading investigations into serious external crime, internal misconduct, complex fraud, and immigration compliance. You will be the main liaison between DPD, law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and key strategic customers. Your work will protect DPD’s network, assets, employees, and client interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead thorough investigations into serious organised crime impacting DPD’s operations and assets.
• Manage sensitive internal investigations including whistleblowing cases, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to corporate policy.
• Investigate sophisticated fraud schemes affecting the business and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Oversee immigration-related compliance and right-to-work investigations across the network.
• Develop strong evidential case files for law enforcement and judicial processes.
• Serve as principal contact for law enforcement bodies, the Home Office, and regulatory agencies, fostering effective partnerships.
• Engage with key business customers on significant security, crime, and fraud issues, providing expert insights and reassurance.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience managing complex, high-level investigations; prior work in law enforcement or senior corporate security roles is highly preferred.
• Strong legal knowledge of UK criminal and civil law relating to fraud, theft, immigration, and data protection laws such as PACE, Fraud Act 2006, Theft Act 1968, and GDPR.
• Hands-on expertise in preparing evidential packages, conducting interviews, taking statements, and presenting evidence in court.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly explain investigative results to varied audiences including internal leaders and external authorities.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to influence senior management and key stakeholders confidently.
• High ethical standards with experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region as investigations dictate.
