About Donut Studios
New Engen is a digital marketing agency focused on helping brands grow more intelligently by combining media, creative, analytics, influencer, and retail strategies into campaigns built for performance and measurable impact. Donut Studios is the company’s internal creative team, designed to produce platform-native, high-performing digital content for ambitious brands. It sits alongside other specialized New Engen solutions such as Acorn Creator Suite and Grapevine.ai, and is built to help teams create breakthrough work quickly.
The studio brings together strategists, creators, copywriters, editors, designers, account managers, and others who collaborate closely to help brands succeed. The culture values hard work, humility, and purposeful building.
Role Overview
The Creator Producer will own UGC production end to end, from initial brief review through delivery. This role is responsible for keeping shoots practical, organized, and aligned with quality and performance expectations while supporting both paid and organic social content.
Key Responsibilities
You will independently create content, direct creators and talent, coordinate production details, and work closely with creative strategy to turn ideas into production-ready concepts. The position also includes managing logistics, improving workflows with AI tools, and safeguarding the quality of the final creative output.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume UGC projects from kickoff to final delivery, including script review, shoot planning, execution, and post-production coordination.
- Create platform-native content independently for paid and organic social campaigns, whether filming at home, on set, or at external locations.
- Capture supporting footage such as b-roll and product shots with a clear understanding of what works best on each platform.
- Direct creators and talent during shoots, offering feedback, coaching, and virtual guidance to improve performance and authenticity.
- Work closely with the creative strategy team to assess ideas early, test whether they can realistically be produced, and flag issues before they become problems.
- Handle production logistics including props, location planning, shoot preparation, and delivery to post-production.
- Keep several productions moving at the same time while maintaining timelines, communication, and deliverables.
- Use AI tools to support research, casting prep, asset organization, pre-production, and workflow efficiency.
- Contribute production expertise in cross-functional discussions about creative development, workflow design, and execution planning.
- Maintain a strong standard of creative quality and ensure work aligns with strategic goals and platform performance needs.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in production or content creation, ideally in digital, social, or creator-led environments, with a focus on producing UGC or social content at scale.
- Strong understanding of UGC and social-first creative, including what performs well on TikTok and Instagram and why certain content resonates.
- Solid mobile production ability, including filming, lighting, framing, audio recording, and camera settings.
- Comfort directing and coaching creators or talent so their delivery feels natural, on-brand, and suited to the platform.
- Strong visual judgment and attention to detail across framing, aesthetics, continuity, wardrobe, and shot quality.
- Excellent production coordination and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple shoots and workstreams simultaneously.
- Self-driven working style with confidence to run shoot days independently and make quick decisions without heavy supervision.
- Comfort using AI tools and production software to improve speed and organization; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, Airtable, and Google Drive is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a positive attitude.
- Must be based in Los Angeles and available for frequent on-site shoots, including multiple shoot days each week in Manhattan Beach and other locations as needed.
Compensation
The advertised pay range is $28.85 to $33.65 per hour. Final base pay will depend on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications. The range applies to the labor market for this role.
Work Arrangement
This position is part-time and remote, with frequent on-site production work required in Manhattan Beach, California, and other shoot locations as needed. New Engen also supports distributed remote employees across the United States.
