Job description

About Donut Studios

At New Engen, the goal is to help brands grow in a way that is not only bigger, but also more strategic and effective. The company is a digital marketing agency that connects media, creative, analytics, influencer, and retail expertise to deliver performance-led campaigns that create real impact across the customer journey.

Donut Studios is the internal creative studio focused on building platform-native, high-performing digital content for ambitious brands. As part of New Engen’s specialized offerings, it works alongside solutions such as the Acorn Creator Suite to produce breakthrough creative quickly and with strong business results.

The team is collaborative and includes strategists, content creators, copywriters, editors, designers, account managers, and other specialists who work together to help clients and teammates succeed.

Role Summary

The Account Strategist will own the day-to-day relationship with a high-priority enterprise client. This person will act as the link between the client and internal teams, working closely with Project Management, Creative Strategy, and Production to keep projects organized, communication consistent, and delivery on schedule. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys relationship-building, problem-solving, and bringing order to fast-paced creative work.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as the client’s main everyday point of contact, leading meetings, sharing updates ahead of time, handling escalations, and strengthening the relationship through clear and responsive communication.

You will convert client feedback, goals, and priorities into clear instructions for Project Management, Creative Strategy, and Production so that all teams stay aligned on expectations and next steps.

You will maintain oversight of several active campaigns at once, working with the Project Manager to track timelines, clear blockers, and ensure delivery is timely and of strong quality.

The role also includes managing intake, kickoff meetings, workback schedules, approvals, and final handoff across a large volume of copy, design, motion, and video deliverables.

You will review work before it is sent to the client to confirm that it meets the brief, satisfies quality standards, and reflects a high level of execution.

Collaboration is a major part of the job, so you will work with Project Managers, Creative Strategists, designers, copywriters, and production partners to resolve issues, balance priorities, and keep work progressing efficiently.

Another part of the role is staying proactive by spotting delivery risks, capacity issues, and opportunities to improve process, then proposing practical solutions before problems escalate.

Required Qualifications

You should bring at least 3 years of client-facing experience in account management, account strategy, or client services within a digital marketing, creative, or integrated agency environment.

Experience working with enterprise or B2B clients is important, along with comfort handling multiple stakeholders and complex organizational structures.

A solid understanding of creative production workflows is needed, including intake, scheduling, approvals, and asset delivery.

You must be able to manage several workstreams at the same time while staying organized, detail-focused, and committed to strong client service.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to turn complex information into straightforward and actionable updates.

You should be comfortable using Asana or a similar project management tool, and have working knowledge of Google Workspace and collaboration platforms.

A careful, quality-minded approach is essential, along with a strong commitment to operational excellence.

You need to be able to work independently in a fast-moving, collaborative setting while coordinating with teams across multiple time zones.

Candidates must live or work within the Pacific Time Zone.

Preferred Experience

It would be an advantage to have supported B2B technology, SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software accounts.

Additional familiarity with tools such as Frame.io, Airtable, Figma, Workfront, or Box would also be helpful.

Experience supporting paid media, organic social, or large-scale content production programs is a plus.

A background in growth marketing or performance marketing would strengthen your fit for the role.

Perks and Benefits

The company offers Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life/AD&D coverage.

Additional benefits include a 401(k) with employer match and an HSA with employer contributions.

Employees can also take advantage of a flexible vacation and PTO policy, paid maternity and paternity leave, paid holidays, and a remote/flex day schedule.

Other workplace perks mentioned include a laid-back office environment, a strong team culture, and fun company events and off-sites.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $70,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s background, experience, and qualifications, and will be set for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.
