Job description

About the Role

This position sits within the Southeast Asia Creator Operations team and focuses on developing localized content ecosystems across major markets in the region, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The goal is to accelerate platform growth by partnering with local creators, tailoring the experience to each market, and strengthening a sustainable creator-community environment.

About the Company

The company is a major video community and digital ecosystem player in China, built around a “creators and community” model. Its platform serves 376 million monthly active users, with 86% from Generation Z. Around 95% of content is creator-generated. The community is known for Danmaku, its real-time comment culture, and users spend an average of 112 minutes per day on the platform. Annual retention is above 80%.

As the organization expands globally, it is looking for people who understand cross-cultural content ecosystems and know how to grow creator communities for young audiences around the world.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, approach, onboard, contract, and build long-term partnerships with local creators across key Southeast Asian markets.
  • Develop a strong, multi-category creator network and help improve creator output as well as platform growth.
  • Adapt product content, marketing campaigns, community guidelines, and interaction rules for each market through translation, cultural localization, and scenario-based refinement.
  • Study social platforms, content trends, trending topics, and user behavior in different Southeast Asian countries, then turn those insights into localized content and growth plans.
  • Track key performance indicators such as creator growth, content volume, engagement, and market reach, then prepare market reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Work with internal teams such as product, marketing, technical, and customer support to remove issues faced by creators and users.
  • Improve the creator support structure and user experience to increase platform loyalty and engagement.
  • Plan and run creator incentive programs and community activities that encourage interaction and mutual growth between creators and users.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Language and Culture, Digital Media, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong English skills and fluency in at least one Southeast Asian language such as Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, or Filipino.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication, negotiation, reading, and writing skills; Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of major social media platforms, creator ecosystems, and internet culture in Southeast Asia.
  • Familiarity with local entertainment trends, youth preferences, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Connections or prior exposure to local creators, MCNs, or related industry partners are preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in creator operations, content operations, or cross-border digital platform operations, with Southeast Asia market experience required.
  • Experience building creator teams or driving user growth will be considered a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and resource coordination abilities.
  • Ability to independently design and execute operational strategies and solve complex cross-cultural challenges.
  • High accountability, strong execution, and good teamwork skills, along with genuine interest in creator communities and content ecosystems.
  • Willingness to travel across regions when needed.
  • Understanding of video platform operations and familiarity with Danmaku-style interaction is an advantage.
  • Good instinct for emerging content trends and timely topic identification.

Additional Information

This role is based in Singapore and is a full-time, onsite position. The company is seeking someone who can support multi-market operations across Southeast Asia and adapt to the dynamics of different local environments.

Why This Role Matters

You will help shape localized creator ecosystems, strengthen community engagement, and support the platform’s expansion across Southeast Asia through culturally relevant operations and creator partnerships.
