Job description

Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Justice Services team in Auckland as Court Registry Officers. Positions are available at Pukekohe District Court (permanent full-time) and Manukau District Court (12 and 8 month fixed-term full-time). This role is fundamental to the smooth running of court operations, involving close collaboration with Judges and judiciary members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating courtroom procedures, including introducing Judges in English and Te Reo Māori, supporting Judges in courtroom and chambers, managing juries, and handling court administration.
  • Overseeing case management by ensuring judiciary and case participants have timely and accurate information along with proper logistical arrangements for court hearings.
  • Providing customer service across multiple contact modes such as in-person, telephone, and email, addressing court-related inquiries effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and observation, essential for maintaining accuracy across diverse court processes.
  • Self-awareness and confidence to work independently and collaboratively across a variety of court scenarios.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently, managing repetitive tasks alongside shifting priorities swiftly.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to the evolving legislation and court procedures.
  • Resilience to handle sensitive, high-volume court cases professionally.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is between 60729 and 80794 NZD annually, with the exact figure depending on the candidate’s experience and skills.
