Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Hamilton District Court as Court Registry Officers within the Central Region. This is a permanent, full-time position based onsite, playing a key role in the smooth and effective functioning of the court system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating court procedures by managing court sittings, including formally introducing Judges in both English and Te Reo Māori, assisting in courtroom and chamber functions, overseeing jury management, and handling court administration tasks.
  • Ensuring efficient case management by providing the Judiciary and involved parties with complete and accurate information, and coordinating logistics so cases proceed without delay.
  • Delivering excellent customer service through face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions, addressing various court-related inquiries from a diverse clientele.
  • Traveling within the Waikato Courts as necessary, requiring possession of a clean and full New Zealand driving license.

Salary and Application Details

The salary range for this role is NZD 60,729 to NZD 80,794 annually, depending on skills and experience. Applications close on 28 July 2026.
