About Te Au Reka Programme

Te Au Reka is a transformative initiative aiming to enhance access to justice across New Zealand by replacing outdated, manual, paper-based court processes with a modern digital case management system. This large-scale programme covers the courts and tribunals nationwide, focusing on innovation and improved experiences for all who interact with the justice system.

Role Overview

The Delivery Lead role involves steering one or multiple cross-functional agile squads through build and delivery cycles, ensuring the teams remain focused, empowered, and supported to produce high-quality results. Working in close collaboration with vendor partners, product teams, business analysts, technical experts, and programme leadership, you will foster conditions that promote successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cross-functional agile teams to navigate delivery milestones.
  • Provide oversight and assurance throughout the delivery process.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers effectively.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and delivery activities to maintain momentum.
  • Contribute to integrated release and readiness planning efforts.
  • Champion continuous improvement and agile best practices within teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear and actionable reporting for governance and decision-making groups.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in delivery, project, programme, or agile leadership.
  • Proven track record leading or coaching cross-functional agile teams in complex ICT or digital transformation contexts.
  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks and methodologies.
  • Relevant agile certifications such as Scrum Master, SAFe, or PMI-ACP.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and obstacles in delivery.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, influencing, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Experience contributing to large-scale transformation programmes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of public sector governance and accountability mechanisms is an advantage.

Salary

The remuneration for this role ranges between $105,226 and $144,034 annually, depending on candidate skills and experience.
