Job description
Role overview
The courier will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels safely, accurately, and on time in line with assigned routes and schedule requirements. The role also includes checking package contents for accuracy, scanning items at each stage, safeguarding parcels, and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key duties
- Pick up and deliver packages safely while following allocated routes and strict time commitments.
- Check and scan parcel contents to ensure orders are correct at both collection and delivery points.
- Provide professional customer service and make sure packages are handled and packed securely.
- Escalate delivery problems, damaged items, or address discrepancies as soon as they are identified.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed.
Education
Secondary school education or an equivalent qualification is required.
Experience
A minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience is needed.
License requirements
Candidates must hold either a minimum Class C (car) license or a minimum Medium Rigid (MR) truck license under Australian licensing classifications.
