Role Overview

The Country Manager for Singapore will spearhead establishing and expanding Notion’s footprint in this market. This startup-like leadership position entails owning mission delivery and revenue growth through building a sales team, driving early adoption, and developing repeatable, scalable market operations. Reporting to the APAC GM, you will work autonomously locally while aligning with broader strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all revenue generation activities for Notion in Singapore.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to drive pipeline and revenue goals.
• Gain a deep understanding of the local user base's workflows, use cases, and unmet needs to inform market strategy.
• Drive engagement within the local ecosystem through community building, startup and strategic partnerships.
• Represent Notion publicly at press events, conferences, and executive meetings to establish brand presence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Solution Engineering, and Professional Services to ensure customers achieve impact.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to further Notion’s presence across the region.

Candidate Profile

• A founder mindset passionate about Notion’s mission, capable of operating independently in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
• Technical and AI fluency enabling credible product demos and discussions tailored to technical audiences.
• Strong local network in Singapore's startup, venture capital, community, and media spheres.
• Experience in ecosystem building via creating partner loops and repeatable programs rather than one-off events.
• Comfort and credibility as a public representative engaging with press, podcasts, conferences, founders, and executives.
• Proven track record in sales leadership, recruiting and guiding teams to consistent revenue achievements.
• Data-driven approach to planning, goal setting, performance analysis, and making investment recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience with significant accomplishments in sales, business development, or market-building roles.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
• Experience operating within Southeast Asian markets, handling various customer segments from startups to enterprises.
• Able to navigate early-stage company dynamics and iterative processes.
• Empathy for customers combined with a strong drive for growth and revenue generation.
• Fluent in English; additional regional language skills are advantageous.

Preferred Attributes

• Background working in a fast-growing SaaS or AI company within Southeast Asia.
• Fluency in regional languages such as Mandarin or Malay.
• Experience selling productivity, collaboration, or developer tools.
• Proven success building and scaling community-led or product-led growth strategies.
• Curiosity about AI and willingness to incorporate AI tools to enhance work efficiency, though deep AI expertise is not mandatory.
