Role Overview
This position involves assisting in the creation, evaluation, and execution of Corporate Tax policies and legislations that align with the fiscal and economic goals of the UAE. It requires active participation in detailed policy examination, technical evaluations, coordination with various stakeholders, and drafting of official policy and legislative documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, evaluation, and refinement of Corporate Tax policies, operational procedures, and legislative frameworks.
- Perform technical analyses and policy reviews related to Corporate Tax, assessing their economic, fiscal, and practical impacts.
- Support the preparation of technical documents including memoranda, briefing notes, and presentations concerning Corporate Tax rules and interpretations.
- Examine Corporate Tax-related guidance, public and private clarifications issued by relevant authorities.
- Facilitate collaboration with internal departments and external entities such as government agencies, regulators, and international organizations.
- Conduct comparative studies and research on international tax frameworks and best practices.
- Assist in drafting and amending formal governmental decisions including Cabinet and Ministerial resolutions pertaining to Corporate Tax.
- Participate in initiatives focused on tax reform, incentives, revenue analysis, and enhancing economic competitiveness.
- Stay informed about global tax developments, including OECD advancements and emerging trends.
- Provide support on other tax policy and legislative projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation, Public Policy, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Professional credentials or advanced studies like ADIT, CPA, ACCA, CTA, CMA, LLM, or a Master’s degree in Taxation are advantageous.
- At least 5 to 7 years of direct experience in areas like Corporate Tax, tax policy, advisory, legislation, or fiscal policy.
- Excellent analytical, research, and document drafting capabilities.
- Proactive and eager to deepen technical expertise in Corporate Tax policy.
- Able to adapt and perform well in a dynamic regulatory and policy-making environment.
- Effective communication abilities and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred but not obligatory.
