Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Assess investment opportunities across diverse sectors through thorough financial and commercial due diligence.
- Develop and update comprehensive financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable companies, precedent transactions, and leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses as applicable.
- Conduct research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape to pinpoint potential investment prospects.
- Assist in the complete lifecycle of transaction execution such as acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
- Collaborate with external professionals like investment bankers, legal advisors, auditors, and consultants during transaction proceedings.
- Support corporate strategic initiatives by creating business cases and assessing financial feasibility.
- Perform valuation analyses and scenario planning to guide strategic decisions.
- Contribute to capital raising efforts, including debt issuance and refinancing activities.
- Formulate long-range financial projections and strategic models.
- Review capital allocation choices and investment yield evaluations.
- Oversee financial and operational metrics of portfolio companies to ensure performance targets.
- Analyze essential financial figures, key performance indicators, and initiatives aimed at value enhancement.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for management and investors.
- Assist portfolio companies in budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing operational efficiencies.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, CPA, or an MBA are considered beneficial.
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant expertise in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, transaction advisory, mergers & acquisitions, or strategic financial planning.
- Demonstrated ability in assessing investment opportunities and managing transaction execution.
- Deep knowledge of valuation techniques and advanced financial modeling skills.
- Capability to juggle several projects effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure work setting.
