Finance Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have between one and three years of professional experience in accounting and possess a strong foundation in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record all daily financial transactions.
• Prepare payment vouchers and manage the payment processes.
• Assist with the compilation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Carry out reconciliation of bank statements and company financial accounts.
• Maintain detailed and organized accounting records and filing systems.
• Process invoices efficiently and ensure timely follow-up on payments.
• Support budget preparation and closely monitor expenditure.
• Perform any other accounting or finance-related tasks as required.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Have between 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software applications.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in team settings.
• Exemplify honesty, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
