Job description
Overview
A progressive technology firm is seeking an expert in Data and AI governance to embed responsible, trustworthy, and compliant data and AI governance practices throughout its initiatives. This position is located within the Chief Data Office and collaborates closely with technical teams to ensure ethical standards, governance requirements, and value assessment are integrated from the outset of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data and AI project teams to implement strong data governance and responsible AI principles throughout development cycles.
- Provide guidance to teams on adherence to data and AI governance policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for comprehensive data and AI governance activities and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead continuous improvement and regular evaluations of AI governance frameworks and related processes.
- Perform post-implementation assessments to detect ethical risks, governance deficiencies, and potential enhancements.
- Assist in evaluating and communicating the business and financial benefits of data governance improvements and AI initiatives.
- Promote an organizational culture that upholds ethical, trustworthy data management and AI adoption.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive experience in executing end-to-end data governance and AI, machine learning, or generative AI projects.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance methods, AI technologies, and their ethical, business, and regulatory impacts.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively with diverse teams across data, technology, business, and compliance disciplines.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to confidently navigate complex governance discussions.
- Practical experience with data governance, AI ethics, risk management, or regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
