Job description

About the company

FleetPartners is a publicly listed business on the ASX that provides fleet leasing, fleet management and novated leasing services across Australia and New Zealand. The company helps organisations and individuals access smarter and more sustainable vehicle solutions.

A major part of what distinguishes FleetPartners is its team culture. The organisation describes itself as supportive and customer-driven, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, personal growth and doing great work together. It aims to provide an environment where people are encouraged to build their capabilities and develop professionally.

Role overview

This newly established Corporate Business Development Manager position is based in Hamilton and will focus on driving growth across the Waikato through to Wellington region. The role is centred entirely on new business acquisition, with a strong emphasis on identifying opportunities, developing strategic relationships and promoting fleet leasing solutions to businesses that may not yet recognise the value of the model.

This is a classic hunter-style sales role. You will be expected to create new customer partnerships, increase vehicle deliveries and contribute to long-term revenue growth. The role involves active market engagement, networking, participation in industry associations and targeted business development activity to build a healthy sales pipeline.

Success will depend on your ability to open conversations, influence key decision-makers and establish yourself as a credible advocate for fleet leasing across both private and government sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Research the market, use networking channels and monitor competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals for prospective clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations and finalise agreements in a way that supports maximum contractual profit.
  • Build and manage a structured prospecting call cycle to generate opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activity, pipeline progress and performance data in Salesforce.
  • Present quarterly updates on sales results, including forecasted business plans and budget expectations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking functions to strengthen visibility and generate leads.

About you

You are commercially minded, self-driven and motivated by the challenge of winning new business. You should be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, creating opportunities from the ground up and building a strong pipeline through proactive networking, prospecting and relationship management.

Fleet industry experience is not mandatory, but you will need a proven background in B2B sales, strong sales discipline and the drive to deliver results in a growth-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales and customer acquisition, with a solid history of creating new business opportunities.
  • A strong hunter mindset with resilience, initiative and the ability to work independently to achieve targets.
  • Confidence in building relationships with senior decision-makers and influencing business leaders.
  • Good commercial and financial judgement, including the ability to understand customer needs and present suitable solutions.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, along with strong pipeline management and disciplined sales processes.

Benefits

  • 27 days of annual leave each year.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • Health insurance from day one, including a company-funded subsidy for Southern Cross or Marram.
  • A Dress for your Day workplace policy.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers, regardless of gender, with no minimum service requirement, plus 4 weeks of paid leave for secondary carers.
  • Ongoing training and meaningful career development opportunities.
  • A rewards programme with discounts from a range of retailers.
  • Regular social activities, wellbeing initiatives and team events through the Social Club and Pit Crew.
  • Access to a broad range of additional employee benefits.

Inclusion and equal opportunity

FleetPartners is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where people feel respected, supported and able to succeed. The wider organisation in Australia is recognised by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency and accredited by WORK180 for its commitment to helping women build long-term careers, including being named one of the Top 101 Workplaces for Women 2025.

Applicants from all backgrounds, identities and lived experiences are welcome, and the company will support access needs or adjustments during the recruitment process.
