About the Role
This full-time permanent position will commence in Term 4, 2026, based in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Part-time applications are welcomed at reduced full-time equivalent (FTE).
The Student Engagement and Wellbeing Directorate leads initiatives to enhance student engagement and wellbeing through system-wide strategies, professional learning, and school resources.
The Road Safety and Drug Education branch focuses on delivering prevention education aiming to reduce road-related injuries and harms associated with alcohol and other drugs. It supports schools by equipping teachers with evidence-based programs and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating road safety and drug education initiatives.
- Collaborate with school leaders, government bodies, and non-government organizations to facilitate the delivery of programs across Western Australia.
- Provide practical support, professional development opportunities, and resources emphasizing road safety and drug education.
- Work alongside other Statewide Services teams to coordinate integrated support services for schools.

Application and Eligibility
- Applicants must be Australian/New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or hold valid work visas for the appointment duration.
- Consent to a National Criminal History Check and obtain Departmental Screening Clearance prior to commencement.
- Hold a recognized teaching qualification and current or eligible teaching registration in Western Australia.
- Possess and maintain a current 'C' class driver's license.
- Be willing to travel statewide, including overnight and remote locations, sometimes by small aircraft.
- Secure or maintain a current Working with Children Check.
