Powered by impactful journalism, Forbes highlights influential individuals and movements shaping industries, achieving remarkable success, and making a meaningful impact globally. The brand engages with prominent communities including billionaires, business leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators. Forbes reaches an audience exceeding 140 million people monthly worldwide through trusted journalism, ForbesLive events, and 49 licensed local editions across 81 countries.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Coordinator for our Audience & Community Marketing team in the Audience Development department. Reporting to the Director, this individual will help grow the audience for Forbes events—virtual, hybrid, and in-person—by collaborating across various departments and supporting diverse marketing activities. This position suits an organized professional who can thrive in a dynamic environment and is eager to expand their skills.
The role operates primarily remotely but favors candidates in New York or New Jersey to support local events and in-person teamwork. Travel and on-site event assistance will be necessary as event schedules dictate.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate live marketing initiatives and audience growth across newsletters, partnerships, advertising, communities, and social media channels.
- Create event-related copy for campaigns used across multiple channels including email, social media, and newsletters.
- Develop event landing pages using WordPress and manage registration modules through Bizzabo, including setting up discount codes and confirmation emails.
- Identify and establish marketing partnerships to broaden audience reach and support registration goals.
- Research resources and vendors to grow audiences and databases relevant to our communities.
- Manage weekly event development meetings, consolidating progress updates, marketing priorities, and team efforts.
- Maintain event timelines and schedules, ensuring smooth approval processes and communication with stakeholders.
- Draft and execute operational emails in collaboration with the Demand Generation team.
- Support lead generation campaigns to engage and convert potential event attendees.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Proofread marketing communications to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting before release.
- Stay informed on event marketing trends and industry best practices to discover new strategies to boost engagement and event success.
Reporting and Data Management
- Track and analyze weekly and yearly event metrics and maintain post-event data documentation.
- Explore and implement AI tools to improve reporting, database management, and streamline repetitive tasks.
- Work with Audience Development to conduct digital surveys assessing virtual and in-person event experiences for quality improvement.
- Coordinate with community marketing teams to minimize duplication and overuse of databases.
Customer Service
- Handle escalation tickets via Freshdesk for multiple events, ensuring prompt responses and forwarding issues as necessary.
- Respond efficiently to inquiries to convert prospects effectively.
On-site Event Support
- Assist with setting up technical equipment during event registration.
- Serve as the initial contact point for attendees, maintaining professionalism and addressing questions.
- Provide event support and help desk services to ensure a positive attendee experience.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Team regarding event roles and schedules.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in event marketing.
- Hold a bachelor's degree preferably in marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, or equivalent experience.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Be highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and adapting swiftly in fast-paced settings.
- Show eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and provide thoughtful solutions.
- Have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Pardot, Knak, event registration platforms, and project management tools.
- Maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
