About the Role

Ferrero's Finance Team in Cork is seeking a Controlling Assistant to oversee Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Transfer Pricing management. This role involves tracking and accounting for these areas while assisting departments with budgeting, cost monitoring, and forecasting. Ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS is a key responsibility.

The position includes generating inventory reports for management, supporting month-end and year-end reconciliations, and facilitating both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and regularly update the Fixed Asset Register covering asset additions, transfers, disposals, and impairments; perform physical audits and investigate discrepancies.
  • Partner with Department Leads to enhance collaboration and continuous improvement, managing expenses, actuals, forecasts, and budgets effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Fixed Assets and assist with reconciliations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate Inventory records across all storage locations; conduct regular inventory counts including cycle counts and full stock takes; investigate and resolve inventory variances with corrective actions.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between locations ensuring all requisite documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Produce management reports on inventory, including stock valuation, aging, and usage trends.
  • Provide documentation and explanations during internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with Transfer Pricing activities based on approved Production Plans.
  • Understand production cycles and models within SAP, calculating industrial costing for semi-finished and finished products.
  • Offer additional support to the Finance team as needed.

About You

Candidates should hold a relevant third-level qualification and demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, share best practices, and collaborate openly. Experience with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are important. A keen eye for detail and strong analytical and numerical skills are essential.
