Job description

Overview

The Contracts Analyst position focuses on supporting the procurement lifecycle by meticulously reviewing purchase requisitions, ensuring adherence to established criteria, and assisting in the effective acquisition of services while overseeing contractual risk management.

Key Duties

  • Thoroughly evaluate Purchase Requisitions to verify completeness before initiating Request for Proposals (RFPs) or Request for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Coordinate procurement strategies and timelines with stakeholders and team members.
  • Create and upkeep lists of authorized vendors eligible to bid.
  • Guarantee that bid documents incorporate all required technical specifications and contractual terms.
  • Handle queries and bid submissions through ARIBA procurement platform.
  • Organize meetings and site inspections to better define project expectations.
  • Support resolution of technical inquiries during tender phases.
  • Perform detailed commercial assessments of supplier proposals.
  • Negotiate financial and contractual conditions with selected vendors.
  • Prepare and forward award recommendations for management approval.
  • Assemble all documentation required to sanction contract awards.
  • Draft, evaluate, and adjust contract clauses ensuring alignment with project compliance and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Secure final sign-offs and endorsements for contracts.
  • Provide weekly updates on outstanding Purchase Requisitions.
  • Track contractual fulfilment against agreed terms and standards.
  • Proactively identify potential contractual risks and implement mitigating measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive contract records and deliver periodic reporting of contract statuses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification in Supply Chain Management.
  • At least a decade of professional experience in contract administration within oil refining and petrochemical sectors.
  • Possession of CIPS certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
