What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, examine, and negotiate complex, high-value agreements connected to clinical research, including CTAs, CDAs, and related documents.
  • Make sure all contracts align with applicable local and international laws, as well as internal policies.
  • Work closely with legal, clinical operations, regulatory, and finance teams to keep contract terms aligned and compliant.
  • Coordinate with clients, sites, and vendors to move negotiations and approvals forward smoothly.
  • Track the status of contract discussions and resolve any bottlenecks or concerns that come up.
  • Keep contract files, records, and supporting documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Advise project teams on contractual issues throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial.
  • Help shape and improve contract management processes and strategies.
  • Ensure agreements are executed on time so project deadlines are met.
  • Assist in resolving disputes or other contract-related problems.
  • Stay informed about updates in trial-related regulations and industry standards.
  • For the senior level, coach and support junior contract specialists and contribute to their growth.
  • Take part in training sessions and workshops to strengthen team capability in contract management.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Law, Business Administration, or Life Sciences.
  • Substantial experience handling contracts or negotiations in pharma, clinical research, or a similar environment.
  • Solid understanding of the rules and guidelines that govern clinical trial agreements.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • Clear communication and good people skills for working across functions and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage several assignments and deadlines at once while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages can be useful depending on the location.
  • Experience in an FSP model, multi-client service setup, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic contract management tools and databases is an advantage.
  • Prior work in a senior or leadership capacity within contract management is preferred.
