About the Role

Join Ventia as a Contract Manager responsible for leading the longstanding Thames Coromandel Roading Maintenance Contract. This role involves managing the delivery of critical infrastructure services across the Thames-Coromandel district, overseeing a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence, financial success, safety, and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 40 employees to deliver roading and infrastructure maintenance services.
• Oversee minor construction works and subcontractor management, ensuring performance aligns with contract requirements.
• Plan and deliver programs while managing resources efficiently.
• Handle contract financial aspects including management and reporting.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Promote leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality.
• Drive workforce development and succession planning within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or maintenance contracts.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding relevant to operational management.
• Skilled in leading operational teams and coordinating subcontractors.
• Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management capabilities.
• A dedicated focus on safety leadership and continual operational improvement.
• Ability to foster high-performing teams and achieve positive results.
• Familiarity with New Zealand roading and infrastructure maintenance environments is highly valued.
