Overview
The Continuous Improvement Manager will spearhead operational excellence efforts within a manufacturing setting. This position is tasked with enhancing processes, boosting productivity, elevating quality and safety standards, minimizing costs, and nurturing a continual improvement culture throughout the organization. Collaboration across various departments is key to successfully applying Lean principles and continuous improvement techniques that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute strategies for continuous improvement in line with corporate aims.
- Pinpoint, rank, and lead initiatives aimed at process enhancements delivering tangible business benefits.
- Promote and utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Standard Work, and other recognized operational excellence practices.
- Organize and facilitate continuous improvement projects, training workshops, and employee engagement activities.
- Evaluate production and operational workflows to detect inefficiencies and potential improvements.
- Oversee a spectrum of improvement and capital investment projects, ensuring effective implementation and long-term maintenance.
- Create and monitor critical performance indicators to assess project outcomes and overall operational success.
- Collaborate extensively with multifunctional teams to deliver improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Support organizational change management and cultivate a mindset centered on ongoing progress.
- Ensure adherence to required quality, safety, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record in leading continuous improvement within manufacturing environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and related methodologies for process enhancements.
- Possession of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or an equivalent credential is preferred.
