About Roku
Roku is a leading TV streaming platform across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and the company is working toward powering television experiences everywhere. Its platform connects viewers with the content they want, helps publishers grow and monetize audiences, and gives advertisers tools to reach consumers effectively.
As a fast-growing public company, Roku emphasizes hands-on contribution from day one. Team members are expected to make meaningful impact while building experience across a range of business areas.
About the team
The Content organization oversees the strategy, execution, and ongoing management of licensed and original programming, along with content partnerships for The Roku Channel across the U.S. and international markets such as Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and the U.K., as well as the subscription service Howdy.
The team includes Content Acquisition, which focuses on negotiating and securing movies, TV series, FAST channels, and more; Content Partnerships, which manages a large network of partners; and Content Strategy & Planning, which guides investment and windowing decisions to improve engagement and return on investment.
About the role
Roku is hiring a Content Strategy & Analysis Associate to support content strategy across VOD and FAST offerings in both subscription and ad-supported environments. The role turns complex datasets into clear insights, reporting, dashboards, and practical recommendations that support acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
This position uses market intelligence, audience behavior, and performance analysis to inform decisions around acquisition, partnerships, planning, and scheduling. The role also involves creating strategic recommendations from historical results, building reports and dashboards, and communicating concise insights to senior leaders.
The successful candidate will work closely with teams across the business to improve reporting tools, strengthen data accuracy, and help expand analytics capabilities. The position is based in Toronto, Canada.
What you will do
- Shape content strategy for VOD and FAST across subscription and ad-supported products, including audience targeting, content mix, and programming volume to support acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Create and maintain models, trackers, and dashboards that assess content value, trade-offs, and performance, and use them to share timely updates with leadership.
- Perform competitive benchmarking and market analysis to surface trends and identify new opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic frameworks and team playbooks while working with Analytics, Audience Insights, Marketing, Finance, and Product partners.
- Work alongside data and engineering teams to improve analytics tooling and reporting precision.
- Review business metrics and KPIs and translate them into clear, actionable takeaways.
- Monitor streaming and industry developments and apply those learnings to keep strategies competitive.
- Support consumer research efforts to build a stronger, data-led understanding of viewer preferences and behavior.
- Own ad hoc projects with short timelines and ambiguous requirements, delivering strong results under pressure.
Candidate profile
Roku is looking for someone who is naturally curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to solve problems using data. The ideal person combines strategic thinking with strong analytical ability, communicates insights clearly, and performs well in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Hybrid work model
This role is Toronto-based and requires in-office presence four days per week. Roku’s hybrid setup generally keeps teams in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays open for remote work unless a role or office has a five-day in-office requirement.

Depending on location and role, this may include access to mental health and financial wellness resources, healthcare coverage such as medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, accident and disability coverage, commuter support, and retirement options such as 401(k) or pension plans. Employees also receive time off for vacation and personal needs. Benefit availability may vary by location and role.
