About Philanthropy Asia Alliance

Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA) is an initiative by Temasek Trust that promotes collaborative philanthropy across Asia by facilitating dynamic, multisector partnerships. It unites funders, implementers, and thought leaders to address major regional challenges in climate, health, and inclusive development. A key event of PAA is its annual Philanthropy Asia Summit.

Role Overview

As the Content Producer within PAA's Communications & Engagement team, you will lead storytelling efforts that highlight the transformative work of PAA's members and partners across Asia. Reporting to the Strategic Engagement Lead, this role involves managing content creation from concept development through to publishing, spanning video, editorial, and social media formats, while maintaining close collaboration with programs and stakeholders behind the initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging human-centered video stories that showcase the impact of the Alliance and its partners.
  • Manage the entire video production process including storyboarding, filming, and editing for short-form social videos and mini documentaries.
  • Conduct interviews with program leaders, beneficiaries, scientists, and funders, and translate complex topics related to climate, health, and development into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Develop ongoing video and editorial series on a set publishing schedule to build and reinforce PAA’s brand identity and audience engagement.
  • Produce publication-quality website articles and long-form features.
  • Craft original social media copy tailored to platforms like LinkedIn, complemented by branded graphic content.
  • Maintain and optimize content on PAA’s website and social channels using audience insights to guide creative decisions.
  • Contribute to reporting on content performance and social listening to refine future formats.
  • Support integrated campaigns and major events such as the Philanthropy Asia Summit by creating original video and editorial content.
  • Coordinate content assets and deadlines with internal teams, member organizations, and external collaborators, ensuring quality and consistency with brand standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in newsroom, broadcast, digital publishing, or in-house content production settings.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating end-to-end video storytelling skills from ideation to amplification; experience in philanthropy, sustainability, or development is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to identify compelling stories and convey them effectively across various media formats.
  • Skilled in on-location self-shooting and making interview subjects comfortable.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools; experience with motion graphics or design is a plus.
  • Native familiarity with social platforms and solid understanding of audience metrics influencing engagement on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Excellent command of English in both spoken and written forms, along with strong interviewing and script writing capabilities.
  • Meticulous, inquisitive, adaptable, and capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • Diploma or degree in any field; formal training in journalism, film, or media preferred.
