Role Overview
As a Consultant Recoveries, you will be a key contributor within IAG's Recoveries division, helping achieve favorable outcomes for customers through effective problem-solving, negotiation, and multi-stakeholder communication. This role is primarily phone-centric, focusing on building productive relationships and resolving recovery matters efficiently.
Work Arrangements
This position is primarily remote-based within Australia, with the expectation to attend an initial 4-week in-office training session. After successful completion, attendance is required at least once monthly for team engagement purposes. This is a fixed-term role of up to 12 months based at any IAG office location in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external suppliers, providing guidance and resolving issues effectively.
- Manage recovery cases and related operational tasks.
- Effectively prioritize workload and collaborate with the team to meet shared goals.
- Consistently achieve performance targets and seek opportunities to drive business improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, risk policies, and internal procedures.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives enhancing customer experience, compliance, and commercial results.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles; prior insurance industry experience is preferable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with a confident, personable manner.
- Self-driven, adaptable team player who thrives in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Strong analytical abilities with numerical reasoning and sound commercial judgement.
- Solutions-oriented mindset comfortable managing change and ambiguity.
- Compassionate approach, capable of supporting customers professionally through challenging circumstances.
