Role Overview
A prestigious hospital in Dubai is inviting an experienced Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to lead its advanced PICU. This position requires managing critically ill children with complex medical and surgical conditions through expert, multidisciplinary, life-saving interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert treatment for high-acuity pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Conduct advanced clinical procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and invasive patient monitoring.
- Work closely with pediatricians, surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver cohesive care.
- Develop personalized treatment strategies and continually assess patient outcomes.
- Guide and mentor junior medical staff and actively support clinical education initiatives.
- Drive quality enhancement projects and maintain adherence to international standards of care.
- Engage in clinical research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in pediatric critical care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is mandatory.
- Training in Western healthcare systems (USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) is required.
- At least 3 to 5 years of consultant-level experience in pediatric intensive care following board certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in sophisticated pediatric critical care methods.
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to family-centered care.
- Eligibility to obtain Consultant licensure from Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
