About the Opportunity

An internationally recognized hospital group in Dubai, UAE, is expanding its pediatric emergency and acute care services. They are seeking highly qualified Consultant or Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a multidisciplinary emergency care team. Position Details

  • Title: Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Hospital Type: Private/Government Multispecialty Tertiary Care facility, JCI-accredited
  • Required Experience: At least 3 years of post-certification experience
  • Clinical Setup: Pediatric Emergency Department with access to NICU, PICU, trauma support, and advanced diagnostic services

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants must hold recognized qualifications such as American Board Certifications (Emergency Medicine/Pediatric Emergency Medicine), UK CCT/FRCEM/MRCPCH with PEM experience, European Board Certification, Canadian Royal College Certification, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or equivalent credentials including DNB/MD/DM/FNB/FCPS. Candidates from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, Middle East, Africa, and South America are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licensing is necessary; full assistance for license conversion is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and trauma-related emergencies.
  • Stabilize and handle life-threatening conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac emergencies.
  • Perform critical pediatric emergency procedures, including airway management, intubation, resuscitation, sedation, and vascular access.
  • Lead and engage in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and resuscitation efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with pediatricians, intensivists, and surgeons to coordinate patient care and disposition.
  • Deliver family-centered care with effective communication to parents and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and triage in the pediatric emergency department.
  • Utilize diagnostic modalities such as point-of-care testing, imaging, and lab investigations promptly.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with UAE regulatory standards and hospital policies.
