Job Overview
A prestigious hospital in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire a highly qualified Consultant specializing in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) medicine. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering expert care to critically ill patients and ensuring top-tier clinical excellence and safety within a cutting-edge ICU setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide thorough care to critically ill ICU patients, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and continual monitoring.
- Design and implement personalized treatment strategies collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Handle complex emergencies including ventilator management, sepsis, organ failure, and critical care interventions.
- Lead daily ICU rounds and oversee junior medical staff and physicians.
- Participate actively in on-call rotations and emergency consultations as required.
- Maintain precise, up-to-date medical records aligned with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Keep current with advancements in critical care medicine through continuing medical education and training programs.
- Provide mentorship to junior doctors, nursing, and allied healthcare personnel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine or a comparable recognized qualification.
- At least 5 years of consultant-level ICU experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
- Preference given to candidates with Western training backgrounds.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures, ventilator management, and emergency clinical responses.
- Strong leadership qualities, effective communication, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Capability to perform efficiently under high-pressure medical situations.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
