About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing construction activities at a data center facility. Your primary focus will be to ensure strict adherence to security protocols, construction standards, and project specifications. You will leverage your expertise in ICD-705 security procedures and understand the varying security requirements across different areas of facilities undergoing construction or renovation. You will collaborate closely with construction teams, security personnel, and project managers to maintain site integrity and security throughout the entire construction lifecycle. This includes analyzing designs and blueprints to discern the architect's intent and identify any structural complexities that might conceal an ulterior purpose.
Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance of construction sites to guarantee compliance with security protocols and construction standards.
- Manage and control access to the construction site, ensuring only authorized individuals gain entry.
- Verify that all construction activities align with established plans, specifications, and security mandates.
- Identify and report any security breaches, safety violations, or non-compliance issues to the relevant authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Liaise with construction managers, security personnel, and other stakeholders to address and resolve security or compliance concerns.
- Perform routine inspections of the construction site to confirm that all work meets quality and security benchmarks.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to project managers and other stakeholders regarding construction activities and any identified issues.
- Ensure all construction activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established safety protocols.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).
- Proficiency in utilizing surveillance equipment and associated technology.
- Familiarity with data center construction processes and industry standards.
- Solid understanding of security protocols and best practices within a construction setting.
- Knowledge of construction site safety and security procedures.
- Familiarity with technical surveillance countermeasures and construction principles.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Skill in promptly handling and resolving conflicts and issues.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Information
Clearance: Successful candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information, requiring a TS/SCI clearance.
Compensation: The projected annual salary range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 USD. This is one component of a comprehensive total compensation package that includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Eligibility for full benefits is for full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week regularly. Individuals not meeting this threshold are eligible for select offerings, excluding health benefits.
