Compliance Specialist - Government Contract (12 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist for a 12-month contractual secondment with a leading government entity located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position involves aiding the organization's compliance and regulatory oversight frameworks within a government setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement governance frameworks, compliance structures, and monitoring programmes.
• Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), sanctions, and financial crime regulatory requirements.
• Engage collaboratively with internal departments to improve and evolve compliance strategies.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in law, finance, business, or a closely related discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of professional experience in AML, CFT, sanctions, financial crime, or regulatory compliance roles.
• Preferred certifications include ACAMS, ICA Diplomas, Sanctions Specialist, CFE, or CFA.
• Experience working in investment, banking, or sovereign wealth funds is highly advantageous.
