Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle compliance and upkeep for existing SRO licenses, guaranteeing strict adherence to FinCEN/BSA, SRO regulations, AML/CTF, KYC/KYB/EDD procedures, and mandatory reporting protocols. Perform periodic internal audits to confirm license compliance, address regulatory gaps, and update policies reflecting the latest legal changes.

- Conduct in-depth, data-driven evaluations to determine the need for additional Web3/digital asset licenses (e.g., VASP/CASP, MiCA, or other regional approvals) across selected jurisdictions. Analyze regulatory stimuli, expansion risks, financial implications, operational effects, and timelines; provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure all Web3 product and service launches undergo comprehensive compliance risk assessments to align with license scopes; identify and report activities that fall outside permitted boundaries requiring new licensing. Offer compliance guidance to multidisciplinary teams concerning onboarding, wallet management, staking, and NFT functionalities.
- Monitor global regulatory developments concerning Web3 and SRO requirements, perform impact analyses on business units, and serve as the principal liaison for regulators, SRO boards, auditors, and compliance service providers. Manage audit processes and regulatory documentation related to licensing.
- Create and implement targeted training sessions on SRO responsibilities and licensing restrictions; maintain meticulous, audit-ready documentation including compliance records, policy manuals, and license evaluation reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a closely related discipline; advanced degrees such as JD or LLM are advantageous.
- Over five years of practical compliance experience specifically in Web3/digital asset sectors, fintech, or Money Services Businesses, with direct expertise in MSB and SRO regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in AML/CTF, KYC/KYB protocols, sanctions compliance, and regulatory filing following FinCEN guidelines, with thorough knowledge of SRO license parameters.
- Experience leading feasibility studies and regulatory assessments for Web3 licensing in international markets.
- Hands-on proficiency with blockchain analytic tools and real-time on-chain risk assessments; comprehensive understanding of digital asset trading, custodianship, staking mechanisms, and NFT ecosystems.
- Fluent English communication skills, including the ability to craft policy documents and reports effectively.
- Strong analytical capabilities and project management skills suited for dynamic and fast-evolving Web3 settings.
