Job description
Role Overview
The Compliance Monitoring Officer will champion quality assurance efforts at the aviation maintenance facility under the guidance of the GAL QA Manager and Aviation Directorate. This role ensures adherence to AFAD Technical Affairs Directorate standards and contractual obligations. Essential tasks include collecting and analyzing QA Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting findings to the maintenance program leadership and QA management to evaluate program performance.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation-related studies or comparable, backed by a decade of experience in aviation quality assurance maintenance and audits.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic License preferred, especially with Inspection Authorization (IA) credentials.
- Relevant certification such as IRCA or RAB Aerospace Assessor, current or past holder.
Experience
- Minimum eight years in aviation quality assurance and auditing roles.
- Knowledgeable in military aviation regulations and international quality assurance standards.
- Competent with various computer software applications and quality management systems development.
- Proficient aircraft inspector familiar with inspection methods and auditing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of aviation maintenance site audits aligned with GAL contracts.
- Assist QA Manager to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Contribute to defining and monitoring quality assurance KPIs for aviation maintenance.
- Conduct compliance audits at headquarters and maintenance sites, leading root cause analyses and corrective measures.
- Perform statistical and data analysis with monthly management reporting.
- Oversee continual improvement initiatives collaboratively with management.
- Propose updates to documented quality systems grounded in data insights.
- Maintain professionalism while abiding by military regulations, organizational protocols, and command structures.
- Understand engineering specifications, OEM drawings, and repair standards of aircraft components.
- Travel as necessary between maintenance locations and headquarters.
