Role overview

This position focuses on regulatory advisory and compliance support for the division within Compliance Culture & Advisory. The role ensures that SAMA circulars are interpreted and implemented correctly, regulatory requirements are assessed, and policies and procedures are reviewed to strengthen a strong compliance culture across the bank.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain approved departmental policies, procedures, and processes, and guide team members in applying them so work is performed in a controlled and compliant manner while meeting quality and cost expectations.
  • Handle the communication, interpretation, and gap analysis of SAMA circulars relevant to the division, and support timely rollout across the bank.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance Culture & Advisory in briefing the CCO, CEO, and senior leadership on important SAMA circulars.
  • Evaluate change requests to confirm alignment with regulations and identify compliance exposure, including matters linked to new or modified products, services, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Contribute compliance input to risk assessments for products, services, outsourcing contracts, and change requests, ensuring they meet applicable regulatory obligations.
  • Guide teams on obtaining SAMA non-objection approvals and support submissions for new product launches, significant changes, and third-party outsourcing in coordination with the division.
  • Provide regulatory advice and review inquiries, marketing campaigns, and selected transactions related to account opening rules, ensuring they remain consistent with laws and regulations and, where required, supporting SAMA non-objection submissions.
  • Review new or revised SAMA regulations, assess compliance levels across division processes, and coordinate remediation actions, including updates to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or another relevant discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Arabic and English proficiency.
  • Preferred professional certifications include CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) and CCO (Certified Compliance Officer).

Additional information

This role requires close coordination with division stakeholders to ensure regulatory changes are translated into practical controls, documented procedures, and awareness activities that reinforce a culture of compliance.

Language requirement

The candidate should have advanced proficiency in both Arabic and English.
