Overview
Mindrift partners with experts to engage in project-based AI assignments for leading technology firms, particularly focusing on evaluating and enhancing AI systems. This position is not a permanent employment role but involves participation through specific projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Formulate and assess rule application scenarios by reviewing compliance documents such as advertisements, disclosures, or policies against precise regulatory requirements, identifying and citing the exact subsections involved.
- Produce sanctions alert disposition cases including detailed documentation of false-positive analyses and escalation pathways.
- Construct compliance evaluation scenarios involving sample selection, design, findings recording, and preparation of examiner-ready summary reports.
- Identify policy discrepancies where internal policies lack coverage, contradict existing regulations, or have not been updated to reflect recent regulatory changes.
- Ensure all case documentation includes accurate and verified citations from applicable regulatory subsections without approximation or fabrication.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants should hold a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of two years' professional experience in compliance, auditing, legal, risk management, or financial services roles is required.
- Preference given to individuals with current or previous roles in compliance and regulatory functions, financial crime prevention, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated discipline in precise regulatory citation is essential, with a commitment to flag uncertainty rather than estimate references.
- Possession of credentials such as CRCM, CAMS, or comparable certifications is highly advantageous; previous experience as regulatory examiners or inspectors is also valued.
- Strong proficiency in written English at C1 level or higher is mandatory.
Engagement Process and Workload

Work expectations during active project phases typically range between 10 to 20 hours per week; however, this is an estimate and may vary depending on project specifics. Workload is not guaranteed and applies only while projects are active.
Compensation Details
Earn up to $60 per hour equivalent, contingent on experience level and contribution pace. Payment rates vary according to project complexity and required expertise. Other projects available through the platform may offer different compensation structures.
