Job description

About the company

Binance is a major global blockchain ecosystem and the operator of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users. More than 300 million people across 100+ countries rely on it for security, fund transparency, fast trading infrastructure, strong liquidity, and a broad range of digital-asset products. Its services cover trading, finance, education, research, payments, institutional solutions, Web3 tools, and more. The company uses blockchain and digital assets to help build a more inclusive financial system and improve access to money-related services worldwide.

Role overview

The Community Manager for West Africa will help grow and strengthen Binance’s regional community presence. The role combines community operations, events, moderation, partnerships, localisation, and user engagement to turn awareness into active users and loyal advocates.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate Binance Angels, the volunteer community program.
  • Plan and run online and offline events such as meetups, webinars, workshops, and educational sessions to boost participation and brand visibility.
  • Oversee moderation for regional Telegram and Discord groups, including the use of bots, mini-games, and community campaigns.
  • Develop partnerships with local crypto groups, student communities, and universities to expand Binance Academy’s reach.
  • Create, localise, translate, and proofread community content in English and local languages to keep it regionally relevant.
  • Identify and test new community-friendly platforms that can broaden the local user base and increase brand recognition.
  • Support brand promotion, community engagement, and user assistance across regional channels.
  • Use community initiatives to move people from awareness to trading and from trading to advocacy.
  • Gather user feedback, market observations, and community insights, then share them with Product, Growth, and Marketing teams.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2–4 years of experience in community management, event coordination, or a similar field.
  • Strong familiarity with Binance products such as Spot, Margin, Futures, P2P, and Earn, along with knowledge of crypto and blockchain concepts like DeFi, Web3, and NFTs.
  • Experience creating content for social media and community platforms including Twitter, Telegram, Discord, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
  • Demonstrated success in community or event leadership, with a strong sense of ownership and emotional intelligence.
  • Working knowledge of Telegram moderation tools, bots, and engagement campaigns.
  • Comfort with data analysis, dashboards, and ROI tracking.
  • Strong communication and conflict-handling skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, as crypto communities are active around the clock.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong understanding of the West African social media environment and community behaviour.

Why join Binance

  • Be part of a leading blockchain ecosystem shaping the future of digital finance.
  • Work with top-tier talent in a global, user-focused organisation with a flat structure.
  • Take on fast-moving, high-autonomy projects in an innovative setting.
  • Enjoy a performance-driven culture with room for growth and ongoing learning.
  • Receive a competitive salary and company benefits.
  • Work-from-home arrangement available, though it may differ based on the business team’s needs.
