Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Assist in baking and preparing bakery items such as bread, pastries, and cakes.
• Adhere to standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
• Support the Senior Chef and Bakery team with daily mise-en-place tasks.
• Ensure consistency in quality, flavour, and appearance of baked goods.
• Manage proper storage, labeling, and rotation of bakery ingredients.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices in line with HACCP standards.
• Safely and effectively operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofers.
• Help with inventory management, including stock replenishment and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare timely setups for buffets, events, and daily service.
• Keep the workstation clean and well-organized at all times.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Previous bakery or pastry experience; hotel background preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of baking methods, dough handling, and pastry basics.
• Strong focus on detail and dedication to consistent product quality.
• Capability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and follow directions precisely.
• Positive mindset, teamwork orientation, and eagerness to learn.
