Commercial Lending Relationship Manager

Role Overview

Farmers National Bank of Canfield is seeking a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager based in Dublin, Ohio. In this role, you will manage commercial lending relationships, drive business development, evaluate credit opportunities, and help maintain a healthy loan portfolio while representing the bank in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Market and sell business banking products and services to commercial clients and prospects through direct outreach, referrals, and management-directed opportunities.
• Assess the credit quality of commercial borrowers and provide recommendations on whether credit should be extended.
• Prepare sales proposals, coordinate commitment letters, and present solutions to clients and prospects.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional bank products and services to both existing and prospective customers.
• Coordinate the preparation of legal paperwork required for loan closings.
• Track portfolio risk, manage collateral and documentation exceptions, and take steps to reduce credit exposure.
• Keep delinquency levels within management-approved standards.
• Work with operational and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Participate actively in civic, community, and professional groups that support the bank’s visibility and networking goals.
• Follow all service standards and expected client service practices.
• Complete required and optional training, including BSA and anti-money laundering programs, and remain compliant with applicable rules and regulations.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance, which is a core requirement of the position.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
• At least 3 years of experience working as a commercial lender.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based research/navigation tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently using reliable personal transportation.
