Role Overview
As a Commercial Interior Designer based in Brisbane, you will be instrumental in crafting commercial spaces that balance creativity and functionality. Collaborating closely with senior designers, clients, and project teams, your role will cover project phases from concept creation to construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Create inventive yet practical design concepts that align with client briefs, scope, and desired outcomes.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive and smooth design solutions.
- Engage with clients to understand their culture, brand values, and operational requirements, exceeding expectations in delivery.
- Develop thorough and high-quality design documentation through all project stages from concept through construction.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Construction teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Integrate global best practices and apply lateral thinking to contribute innovative ideas to projects.
- Enhance capabilities via mentorship and regular feedback from senior designers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial interior design projects.
- Strong visual communication skills to present designs from sketches to final presentations.
- Advanced skills in hand sketching, Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes, quality standards, and documentation protocols.
- Excellent project management abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective collaborator capable of working independently and within a team.
